Casa Maria

From Crone, towards Vesta, an asphalted road leads you into the mountains, to “mansion fourth” nearby Crone after app. 500  meters. After app. 300 meters you will find a beautiful white house with a garden with a wooden fence. It is possible to park your car in this garden. The house has two floors/two apartments. No traffic disturbs the peace! You have a marvellous view on the lake and the 1500 meters high mountains. Each apartment has its own entrance. You can reach the upper apartment through a staircase outside the house. Each apartment has satellite television, a cook corner, and two bedrooms with two beds and a bathroom with shower. Table-ware is sufficient available, also a filter coffee pot and a whistling kettle. On the large terrace on the first floor and the roof covered terrace on the ground floor, you will find garden-chairs and a garden-table.

When you want to visit the beach of the Idro lake, you go back the way you came to Casa Maria. Please remember: the Idro lake has, like all mountain-lakes, a stony beach! Every week on Wednesday morning, there is a market in the centre of Crone. Distance from Casa Maria is app. 1000 meters. Crone is a very old village with narrow lanes and passages. It is very worthwhile to bring Crone a visit. It feels like you are still in the middle ages.
